Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has been provisionally suspended after testing positive for Meldonium, a drug used to treat heart conditions, which enhances endurance and recovery.
The Ukraine international, who hasn’t played since November 28, was originally reported to be sidelined due to illness. However, it has now emerged that he failed a routine doping test following the November international break.
Chelsea confirmed the suspension via their official website, stating that Mudryk and the club fully support The FA’s testing program. Mudryk insists he never knowingly used banned substances and is working with authorities to identify the cause of the adverse finding.

FA regulations allow a provisional suspension while the player awaits the results of a ‘B’ sample. Mudryk has publicly expressed his shock and denied any wrongdoing, assuring fans that he remains hopeful of returning to the pitch soon.
